Glass Cord

By Evelyn Diaz Cruz

"Evelyn Diaz Cruz, Theatre Arts, has won third place in the prestigious Repertorio Espanol’s Annual Playwriting Contest in New York City, for her full-length play entitled Glass Cord. The play, set on a roof-top in the Bronx, explores some of the myths of the maternal instinct and is rich in cultural metaphors. As a finalist in this nation-wide competition, Professor Cruz was granted a professional reading of her play at the Repertorio Espanol on December 15, 2004. The Repertorio Espanol is the leading playhouse for Latino/a work in the United States."
