It is my pleasure to share with you some of my experience as a theatre artist, educator, and activist.  I created this website and named it Taina Moon in reverence to the ancient Taino people of Puerto Rico, whose presence is still brilliantly reflected by the blue moon in the phosphorous bays that sparkle to the touch.  This field of energy when poured upon the skin reflects millions of mirrors of beauty—A divinely inspired theatrical connection with our ancestors.

I am a theatre practitioner grounded in the philosophical notion that there is a spiritual base for creating works of art and that art is everywhere. Theatre art is a study in humanness reflecting the attitudes of the people who develop and inspire it. It is a powerful means of giving voice to diverse communities and their concerns for peace and justice, while educating and entertaining at the same time. 

Using theatre exercises and games, I help people connect with their own higher creative selves and facilitate the breaking down of barriers in a supportive and joyous atmosphere.  Focus and relaxation are important channels for sparking the imagination therefore I also use various healing techniques such as Reiki, Centering Prayer, Meditation and rituals.  My methods are interactive as well as reflective and lots and lots of fun. 

Simply put, life itself is a theatrically soulful experience. It is a celebration of being fully present as a human in an embodied performance reflecting the millions of glistening cultural mirrors on stage and in every day life.  I have a passion for exposing people to the magic of theatre and how it enhances our life experience.
